Hello, it’s been a while 👋🏻. ➡️ for the reason 🏡! We’ve been in our house for seven years and it’s been our goal to knock down some walls to create a family room and open the back out onto the garden. Well, after years of delays work has started! But in all honesty it’s also been absolute chaos trying to pack up our house around two small children 😂. We spent Saturday in the garden where I was perched on a steel beam while making space for the annuals. It’s still my goal to keep the garden and allotment going through this time, but who knows what we’ll end up growing. 🙈 Anyway, I have so many updates so I’ll take to stories. I just wanted to share my excitement. (And while I don’t share lots of house stuff, I’ll let you know when the back wall is knocked through!)
Here’s to kicking for joy that the hens are free. Five months of flockdown, and five months of you.
Sorry for the radio silence over here - it’s been a draining few days. Arlo is unwell with chicken pox (it’s completely wiped him out), Rowan is refusing to sleep (🥴) and we’re trying to pack up the house around the work finally starting next week 🙃. So here’s some garden happiness before the pox struck. Not a photo taken for instagram, but a photo full of my favourites. I’ll do a little update on my stories soon ❤️ (and yes Arlo was taking the tractor for a walk). Hope you’re all ok ☺️ ps ➡️ we did plant up the strawberry wall!
I told the girls the good news this morning and they’re now counting down the days until avian flu restrictions are lifted and freedom commences on May 2nd. 🥳
“A garden to walk in and immensity to dream in - what more could he ask? A few flowers at his feet and above him the stars.”
